Ms. Grace H. Yu has expertise in technology, engineering, and finance.  She has worked for IBM, designing VSLI chips and control systems, Goldman Sachs in New York and then joined Sun Microsystems, Inc. in California.  After retiring from Sun Microsystems, Grace became an active PTA volunteer at various schools in the Palo Alto Unified School District, serving in various leadership roles as  President, Vice President, and Treasurer.  In addition, she was the Treasurer of the 2015 Measure A Campaign which successfully passed the parcel tax to increase funding for PAUSD. She is currently involved in a startup company based in Los Angeles.

 

Ms. Yu earned her BS in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, MBA in Finance from the Wharton School and MA in International Studies from University of Pennsylvania. Grace has been on the Board of the 1990 Institute since 2014 and currently serves as Vice Chair.  She is heavily involved in the operations of the Institute and serves on a number of committees.
